Fun with Aunt Iz and Aunt SaSa
Submitted by bubbe on Tue, 05/25/2010 - 11:42pmLast week Maya had a grand time with Aunt Iz, first at Gilda's Club for the "minute to win it" game night and then going to Schenley Plaza for a lunch outing.
Today Maya spent the day with Aunt SaSa walking to the Edgewood Library, having smoothies at the local coffee shop and then swimming in Aunt Izzy's apartment pool.

Maya Being Her Own Person
Submitted by bubbe on Mon, 04/26/2010 - 4:26pmMaya has totally taken charge of her life by having a question, though and opinion about everything.
That is how we ended up in and were able to spend over an hour and a half at the local coffee shop down the street from her house. She worked her way there by taking Chickee for a walk in the stroller and then being attracted to the outside tables made her way into the shop to check it out.
We played I-spy, we commented on the workers and the other customers, we observed the comings and goings along the street and we enjoyed our respective beverages- a smoothie for Maya and a latte for me. When I told Maya we had to get home-her reply,"No, I'm not ready. I'm playing here."

Gilda's Club
Submitted by bubbe on Sun, 04/11/2010 - 3:25pmSaturday, we spent our day at Gilda's Club. We invited our cousin, Sam, to join us for Toddler Time and then we greeted all of the Gilda's Club Runners as they came by for a water stop at mile 14 of 22. In the afternoon we had lots of fun making thank you gifts including a potted plant, bracelet, scrapbook and treasure box. The visit ended with a pizza lunch and self-decorated sugar cookies.
