MomMom Visits Maya
Maya and I (MomMom from Philly) had a wonderful visit for two days at the end of January. It is joyous to see her making developmental leaps and bounds. We had so much fun playing with all of her toys. She takes such delight in the simplest things and her constant smiles are the greatest. She is the happiest child! I'm afraid she won't remember me but she greets me with delight and an occasional shriek.
When the Carriage House staff say she eats like a bird, they aren't kidding. She does eat an amount equal to her body weight each day! Feeding Maya is a pleasure. She makes me feel like Julia Child. We enjoyed making all the signs, especially 'more'. We tried some new ones too.
I happened to be there the day the new big toy was delivered. It was an enormous mysterious cave dwelling. The ever cautious Maya allowed MomMom and some stuffed friends to test it out before she carefully entered. We proceeded to crawl in and out many times. What fun we had! Especially MomMom.
In related news, Eli got to keep the 40" LCD TV that came with the cave- a little ditty from his wife for a very special birthday.
I can't wait for the next visit when we will finally answer the question,"How many Cheerios can one little baby fit in her mouth?" Stay tuned.
