A First Walk

I decided it was time to get Maya into better shoes. "How about a pair of Merrells?" I asked Eli. He reminded my how my Dad always took the kids to buy their shoes but that there were probably hand-me-downs in the basement.

And there were! I found a wonderful beautifully broken-in pair of pink Merrels, the perfect size and just the trick Maya needed.

We had a great day, dressing to go for a walk, walking up and down the block of her house and even walking around the back yard. What fun. In between walks, there was time for snacks and peek-a-boo with the telephone going in and out of my pocket.
