Beyond Babyhood

This week Maya made it clear that she won't be a baby forever.

She ignored all of the baby rattle-type toys, choosing more advanced toys, like a truck and a row of pull ducks, even thought she wasn't sure of what to do with them.

She also did a funny thing making her way over to my purse which was on the dining room table for some of her favorite non-toys including my cell phone and box of tic tacs.

Isadora who often brings me lunch, brought Maya her first kid's meal from Panera. Maya devoured half of a grilled cheese sandwich washing it down with organic apple juice and topping it off with strawberry yogurt. Ymmmm.
