A Letter from Maya

Hi Everyone,
Yesterday, Bubbe and I did some visiting. We walked up to Squirrel Hill and saw Aunt Izzy, her co-workers, and the many people who come to Rite Aide everyday. Then we went to Puppup's office where he even let me play with his cell phone! In the afternoon we drove over to see Uncle Jason, Aunt Hope and cousin Gerrie. I enjoy being with all of you and hope you will arrange for Bubbe to bring me to visit often!

Everywhere we went there was a buzz about the new democratic candidate for President: Barack Obama. This is the week of the convention where he will be nominated. Bubbe is really excited about this man! She says it reminds her of when she was a young girl and JFK came into office. Barack offers great changes in our country that will help me live a safe and happy life. I wish I was old enough to vote for him!
