Maya is very inquisitive, observant and responsive. She often interrupts her activity to listen to a noise, to look around her environment, and to follow the actions of others within her eye sight. When I talk to her, she responds with her own sounds, smiles and arm movements. When she sees a camera, she becomes greatly animated. When something is within reach, she always grabs it and brings it to her mouth.

All of this curiosity comes into focus with food. Sorry, Sarah, for this picture but it tells the story. Maya saw Aunt SaSa's pizza and expressed great interest, watching Sarah, talking, and even moving her mouth like she was eating. Annie was able to satisfy her with sweet potatoes especially prepared for her.

FYI- I got the original idea to do these reports when I saw how the Carriage House keeps their parents informed about the daily happenings of their children. Emails seemed the logical way for me to record Maya's growth as I see it.

This week because Annie is working nights, she is spending more daylight hours with Maya. Also Aunt SaSa is in town so I have these additional photos.
