A SleepOver
Submitted by bubbe on Thu, 07/02/2009 - 4:45pmHappy Anniversary to Mommy and Daddy. Maya decided she could sleep at the loft and give Mommy and Daddy some quality alone time to celebrate.
Some of Maya's favorite things to do in the loft are:
To smell spices with Steve.
To wave to Nipper.
To play with the little doll house.
To go to the nearby playground.
To collect stones.
To eat snacks.
To sit on the porch and read books.
To look at pictures of the family on the big computer screen.
To draw at the desk.
To go to the river and see the ducks.
As you can imagine we were very busy and a good time was had by all.

Children's Museum
Submitted by bubbe on Tue, 06/23/2009 - 7:16pmThe last time I went to the Children's Museum Eli was a little boy. Today was Maya's first visit and it's a whole new place-literally. There is not one space that is the same from our last visit.
Maya had a great time and checked out everything. Her most favorites were playing Mr. Roger's player piano, the train table, the rice table, making the puppets move and taking down Bob the Builder's Wall with velco bricks.

Submitted by bubbe on Thu, 06/18/2009 - 7:30pmToday was the day to do something I've been wanting to do for quite some time, take Maya to the aviary. She was fascinated with the birds and wanted a turn holding worms so that the birds would eat out of her hand. I told her, "Finally, this is where Bubbe draws the line. No worms for us. Let the others do it and we'll watch."
