I am relatively new to this world, having been born on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 3:35 PM. At that time I weighed 7lbs 2oz and was 20in long, although I have been growing like a weed ever since. I came nineteen days early (I was expected January 7, 2008), so I surprised my parents a bit, but I am now here to stay.

My parents are Annie and Eli and they are both super cool. They tell me that they chose the name Maya because it is short and sweet, but also because they consider it a wordly name. Although it is a contemporary Hebrew name (Maya spelled in Hebrew is מאיה), it also is used in a range of cultures such as Hindi, Japanese, and Spanish-speaking ones.
